Some Miscellany

Friday, March 19th, 2010

Hey everyone! I know the blog has been quiet lately and I apologize for that!  I’ve got some things in the Que for you that I just haven’t got up here yet. :)

I thought I’d throw out a few cool things on the beautiful Georgia Friday morning that might interest you.

1. My family loves Toms Shoes and I know that a LOT of my high school clients do too.  If you’ve never heard of Toms, they’re a GREAT organization that sells canvas shoes.  For every pair of shoes that YOU buy, Toms donates a pair to a child in need.  On April 8, TOMS is encouraging fans to participate in their One Day Without Shoes Campaign to help spread awareness about the impact a simple pair of shoes can have on a child’s life.  I thought this was such a FANTASTIC idea that I’ve decided to offer $25 off a session fee to anyone who participates in the One Day Without Shoes Campaign in our area.  AND….if you ORGANIZE a One Day Without Shoes Campaign at your school, office, or organization, I’ll give you a FREE photo session.  This goes for anyone – high school juniors or seniors, elementary age kids, adults, whoever.  You get your organization to participate in One Day Without Shoes and you get a free session. :)

The One Day Without Shoes website has a GREAT toolkit for organizers – downloadable forms, t shirt stencils, posters, letters you can send to your boss or administration of your school about what you’re doing, etc, etc.

So go check it out and start something cool where you live! And even if you DON’T live in Southwest Georgia, go check it out and do something where you live! :)

2.  I’m in need of a few MODELS for an upcoming springtime shoot.  You give me an hour or so of your time, and you get a free photoshoot and some prints. :)

I’m on the hunt for a fit, fun, energetic young mom and her daughter(s) between 4 and about 8 years of age.  Please send your contact info and a snapshot to info@tamminowackphotography.com

3. Still looking for some Senior Reps for the Class of 2011, so if you’re a highschool junior, or know of one you can read the details about that on this blog post here and request more info at: rockstars@tamminowackphotography.com

Be a Rockstar

4. Are you a fan on our Facebook page?  Facebook fans are typically the first to hear about model requests, updates, or get links to cool resources or photography tips.  Check us out and become a fan!

Models Wanted: Families!

Monday, August 10th, 2009

I’ve been working with a friend on a fantastical “thing” that we’re going to be offering in the very near future, but we need some models to try it out on!   This product is so cool, so knock-your-socks off amazing that you’ll cry when you see it.  And then you’ll call your mom.  And then you’ll tell all your friends about it, and they’ll all be jealous.  It’s gonna be an UH-MAZING treasure for any family to own.

Anyway….curious yet?  It’s not ready to be unveiled yet because we need a family to use as our “guniea pigs”, to model for a family session for us that we can use for marketing purposes.

So….if you’re looking for a rock’n FREE session and a SUPA RAD-TASTICAL product to call your own (’tis top-secret for now), and you meet the following requirements, then shoot me an email (with a snapshot of your fam) to: info@tamminowackphotography.com

We’re looking for:

**A hip and fun family

**Kids between the ages of 2-17.  I might consider younger children though, if you convince me of their epic cuteness and ability to handle a LONG photo shoot. :)

**Photo session is to take place on Saturday August 29th or Sunday August 30th ONLY.  You must be available for one of these 2 dates.  The session will take approximately 2-3 hours, so be prepared for a long (but fun!) shoot. You will be required to sign a model release so that we can use your images in marketing, advertising, etc. etc.

**Interested parties can email me your name and contact info, along with a snapshot of your family to: info@tamminowackphotography.com   You can also hit me up on Facebook!

I hope to hear from you soon!

Senior Rockstar Rep Caleigh | Deerfield Windsor Class of 2010

Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009

After 9 days of rain around here, the skies finally started to clear so last week we met Caleigh for her Senior Rockstar Session out at the Farm.  Which is normally a GREAT place for photos….unless it’s been raining for 9 days and you’re tromping around tall grass in a heavily wooded area.  Mosquito swarms, anyone?  I think Caleigh and I together used about half a bottle of OFF and I still barely left with all my limbs intact.

Say hi to Caleigh, one of my senior Rockstar Reps for the Deerfield Windsor Class of 2010.  Leave her some blog love and tell her that all the mosquito bites were worth it. :) And if you’re a DWS Senior, contact Caleigh (or Hannah) to find out how you can get some free prints when you book your senior session with Tammi Nowack Photography.
