Sofia, 8 Days Old | Albany, GA Newborn Photography
You may remember that a couple weeks ago, I photographed the birth of Sofia. Well, last week I went over to Stuart and Meagan’s house to nab Sofia’s newborn pictures when she was just a delicious little 8 days old. She gave me fits and we spent a LOT of time “molding” her into various positions, but I think the results were worth it.

Look at the perfect cupid’s bow in her lips. I love baby lips – they are divine.
One of the things I love so much about Stu and Meagan’s home is that they incorporate so many personal items to make it homey – artwork done by various family members (this is one seriously TALENTED family), antique family portraits, and other things that demonstrate their strong sense of familial bond and personal history. Stuart’s brother Josh tragically passed away a few years back and this is his guitar. Even though Sofia won’t know her Uncle Josh personally, I know that her mom, dad, and other family members will help her know her uncle through stories and memories and personal mementos like this. I think she’s one lucky baby.
I think Meagan thought I was crazy as I snapped a few pictures of Sofia’s downy peach fuzz. It’s not something that she’ll have for long and it’s just one of those things that make a newborn special.

awwwwww!! she’s sooo precious! i just wanna hold her and love on her. she’s so CUTE!! by the way, i absolutely LOVE how you tell a few things about the great people you photograph…it’s neat reading something about them and then seeing their pictures. *my favorite one is the one with her uncle’s guitar. How wonderfully perfect she is! Can you even remember your life now without her???? That’s such an amazing part of becoming a parent….it is as though everything before her becomes so small…. and yet as small as she is she fills your entire hearts. — full to overflowing.
